Unmaking
Drawing inspiration from a feeling of escaping, the girl kneels at the edge of a marsh, inches into the water in a torn short white dress. Her eyes and hands are bound, in a symbol of blind obedience, yet lost in the world. A question unanswered, a prayer on deaf ears, a drive to find purpose in more than the unknown. The white a striking contrast to the mud and the moss in the willows, a show of clarity in a muddled world.
There is no right nor wrong in a world where morals are determined by mere mortals.
Unmaking is an 8x10 inch oil painting on Masonite board. It’s edged with ivory black, and sealed with Gamvar in a satin finish. Hardware installed for proper displaying.
