Riata Triplett is in desperate need of a kidney. She was on the transplant list (an already difficult feat), until March 1st when she learned her heart isn't working as it should.
Riata is a mother of two beautiful little girls, and lives in Wyoming with her fiancé. She grew up with me, and we graduated high school together.
Bids start at 30% of original value of artwork. Bidding lasts a little over 7 days for each artwork.
100% of proceeds from art sold on this page will go to Riata and her family. If you're an artist and are interested in auctioning an artwork, reach out below.

About Riata

Riata has always been a confident, fun-loving, and incredibly strong person. She was born with a heart murmur, that eventually led to a repair to a hole in her heart at four months old. At 16 months old, she had a full open heart surgery where a patch was placed. Life went on, and she grew into a free-spirited and loving woman who could not be stopped. She became a mother when she was blessed with her daughter, Brinley. She later met her incredible now-fiancé, whose daughter was a welcome addition to her family. In her early twenties, she got sick with what seemed like the flu, but unfortunately it was the signs of an eight pound cyst, and it needed removed. She was life flighted to Colorado, where they saw her labs indicating poor kidney function, and she was admitted to have the mass removed.
Unfortunately, removing the mass did not improve her labs and kidney function. In 2019 she met her kidney team, and spent three years searching for any cause of the poor kidney function. With zero improvement to their function, and no known cause, they moved forward with the plan to get on the transplant list. By 2024, her kidney function had worsened greatly, with only 12% kidney function between her two kidneys. Riata was finally cleared to begin dialysis, and placed on the transplant list. She is projected to be on the transplant list and on dialysis for about 4 years.
This year, at her yearly echocardiogram, her transplant coordinator discovered an issue with her heart, and decided to take her off the transplant list. Riata's cardiologist found the bottom tip of her heart once again is not working as it should. It's suspected this may be related to the previous hole in her heart when she was an infant. She will find out late March and early April what the plan is to treat her heart, so she can be cleared for transplant again.

100% of proceeds from the auction and print sales will directly be sent to Riata Triplett, and screenshots of payment will be put in a gallery below.
Living Kidney Donation

"Since end-stage kidney disease has no cure, there are two options: 1. Kidney Transplant, or 2. Life-Long Dialysis. Sadly, the average wait time on an organ donation list can be five years or longer. Kidneys from living donors offer a number of superior benefits, including greater success rates, and nearly double the years of functionality.
Please consider being evaluated for kidney donation."
