A Simple Haven

After learning of Riata's removal from the transplant list, the promise to create an artwork for her was finally carried through. In one heartfelt and hopeful session, the piece was created in 4 hours using the wet on wet oil painting method on textured hardboard. It is raw and unfiltered, created with tear filled eyes and recalled memories of Riata's fun-loving spirit and outrageous sense of humor. 
 
Riata wanted a scene with mountains and flowers, and the artist chose to add a subtle rainbow tint to the clouds and daisies as they fit who the painting is in honor of. A print of the original size will be gifted to Riata, and available prints will be sold and the total donated.
